Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How often is there a new page?

A: As often as possible, sometimes it can be difficult to get pages out with a busy schedule.

Q: Why do you sell physical and digital copies of the comic if I can get it on here for free?

A: The comic is available online for free because I do not want to deny people the ability to enjoy the work regardless of financial standing. However people who are interested in supporting the work can buy advanced copies both physically and digitally.

Q: Can I create fanart of your characters?

A: Yes! Please do that, make sure you send me copies to jamesmarontate@hotmail.com so I can check them out.

Q: Do you have any advice on how to start a webcomic or animation?

A: I have no idea what I'm doing, that being said... Don't let fear stop you from trying, just make stuff. Also try not to negatively compare yourself to other artists, instead take positive notes and instruction from art you like. Draw a lot, draw always, stop asking for tips on shortcuts and start drawing.

Q: How do you make your comics?

A: I use a software called Manga Studio 5, it's pretty rad. I work entirely digitally on my comics. I also use a Wacom Cintiq Tablet which allows me to draw straight onto the computer (I'm 96% sure it's magic).

Q: How long does it take you to make a page?

A: It varies a lot depending on the page and amount of detail, usually 4-8 hours. I do get faster as I make more pages and define the characters into model sheets.

Q: Why isn't there colour on the pages?

A: Time. I work on these comics outside of my day job and colourizing the pages would likely take me double the time to complete the pages.

Q: Do you do link exchanges?

A: Maybe? Do you make stuff I like? (e-mail me and ask)

Q: Can I post pages on my (whatever blog type thing you use)?

A: I'd really appreciate if you didn't, but if you absolutely have to, please source this site and try not to post spoiler materials for people that maybe haven't had the opportunity to read it yet.

Q: Who are you and why do I care?

A: Click the "About" Button to find out.

Q: Why didn't you answer my FAQ?

A: You probably didn't ask it. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions you feel weren't covered here.
